Lenten Outreach: Youth in Action

The Karnataka Regional Youth Commission organised a charity initiative as part of the “Reconnect” program during the Lenten season. After the KRYC executive meeting on 06.04.2025, the team led by Fr. Lourd Raj, the RYD, the Rexco members and Sr. Molly, the RYLA, distributed food for those in need. Subsequently, the group visited Nirmala Shishu Bhavan, a home for Children with disabilities managed by the Missionaries of Charity. The team spent time with children and was inspired by the sister's selfless service. Their work is a testament to their genuineness, dedication and commitment. This visit served as a reminder of the importance of serving others. As a special Lenten contribution, the team made a financial contribution to support the children’s care. The initiative was a meaningful way to live out the Reconnect program’s values. The team’s visit and contribution reflected the values of compassion and service.
